P. Wiliam Bercik graduated in 1990 from Duquesne University Law School, and from Penn State University in 1982 with a degree in Economics. He also has a Master's Degree from Penn State in American Studies. He has been practicing law for 34 years and is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Western District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Court, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been a board member of Acculturation for Justice, Access and Peace Outreach, a non-profit organization assisting refugees admitted to the United States, for over 20 years. He is a former board member of the Hill Community Development Corporation and also a former member the pastoral council of St. Benedict the Moor Church. He is an amateur historian and guitar player.
